I’m supporting a wonderful primary school in the Pontefract area that is seeking a dedicated andpassionate Year 2 Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. About the RoleAs the Year 2 Teacher, you will:
1. Take full responsibility for a well‑behaved and enthusiastic Year 2 class
2. Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
3. Support pupils in the lead‑up to their SATs, ensuring they feel confident and prepared
4. Work closely with the KS1 phase and wider staff team to maintain high standards
5. Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment rooted in care, respect and consistency
What We’re Looking For
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience in KS1, ideally Year 2
8. Strong understanding of the curriculum and Year 2 assessment requirements
9. A calm, positive and nurturing teaching style
10. Someone who forms strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
