SEND Casework Officer - Liverpool City CouncilLocation: Liverpool (Minimum 2 days on site)Rate: £40 per hour (Umbrella / Ltd status)Role Type: Locum / Immediate Start Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced SEND Casework Officer to support schools, settings, and families in meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a locum role with immediate start. Key Responsibilities: Support schools and settings in applying the graduated approach to SENDCo-ordinate statutory assessment processes for pupils with SEND, including Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plansReview and monitor pupil progress against outcomesWork closely with SENCos, head teachers, and internal colleagues (SENISS, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology, Social Care, Health) to ensure a multi-agency approachEnsure statutory timescales for EHC plans are metAttend annual reviews for particularly vulnerable pupils (e.g., Looked After Children, Continuing Care, pupils at risk of exclusion)Ensure children attend maintained settings in Liverpool wherever possible Requirements: Recent experience in a SEND / educational / children's services environmentKnowledge of Children and Families Act 2014, SENDIST regulations, and associated legislationExperience facilitating review meetings and working with parents, carers, and multi-agency teamsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including complex spreadsheets and presentations Benefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include: DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown SynergyReferral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to usBonus for finding your own jobTwice weekly payrollDedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment and beyond.
