Preceptorship
A 12-month Preceptorship programme for all newly qualified staff includes:
* A named Practice Development Nurse overseeing your Preceptorship and providing support
* A designated Preceptor within your clinical area for ongoing support and feedback
* A comprehensive induction programme with simulation, anatomy and physiology, sepsis training, and input from various experts
* At least 5 weeks supernumerary period: 1 week in the Education and Training Centre and 4 weeks protected in your clinical area
* A Preceptee lanyard during the programme
* Opportunities to learn clinical skills specific to your area within 12 months
* At least 5 feedback reviews with your Preceptor over the year
* A portfolio supporting revalidation via the PARE platform
* A Nurse achiever ceremony upon completion
Internal Transfer Scheme (ITS)
Post-Preceptorship, staff can move within the organization without lengthy applications or interviews, facilitating career development.
About the Trust
The Trust serves West Cheshire and Welsh patients, working within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. It operates from three locations:
* The Countess of Chester Hospital: 438 beds
* Ellesmere Port Hospital: 56 beds for rehab and outpatient care
* Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: community services for rural populations
