As part of our Future Teachers Programme, this role is designed to help graduates step confidently into the world of teaching.
This is a paid, school-based experiencethat gives graduates the opportunity to work as teaching assistants, learning mentors, and unqualified cover teachers. Many of our Future Teachers progress into salaried teacher training or school-based routes such as Schools Direct or PGCEs after successful placements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom support in your subject of strength (Maths, English, Science, Humanities or others)
* Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment
* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation for students with additional needs
* Assist with planning and preparation of learning activities
* Lead small group booster sessions for pupils falling behind
* Gain insight into teaching theory and practice through CPD and school mentorship
Ideal for graduates in:
* Psychology
* Education
* English, Maths or Science
* Sociology or Social Work
* Sports or PE
* History, Geography or RE

Requirements:
* A university degree (2:2 or above preferred)
* A passion for education and a desire to become a teacher
* Confidence working with young people aged 11–16
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Willingness to commit to a school-based role for at least one term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
