Nigel James Associates have been appointed by one of the fastest growing financial planning companies to recruit for 2 new Desk Based Financial Planner positions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join their established and growing desk based advisory team where clients and leads are provided to you, full administrative support handles all the heavy lifting, and you can focus purely on delivering quality financial advice and building client relationships.
The Role
You will be working within a structured, well-supported environment where everything is set up for you to succeed. You will deliver holistic financial planning to clients either through video meetings or calls. Clients primarily come from business acquisitions and through segmentation passed through to you as well as new enquiries and existing client referrals. You will be provided with full administrative support managing all client onboarding, letters of authority, meeting preparation packs, and operational tasks. For straightforward cases you'll complete your own paraplanning work, whilst more complex multi-faceted advice is supported by dedicated paraplanners.
You'll typically manage clients with investable assets of between £50k-250k but there is no cap on client investment levels. The business operates an independent offering with their own in-house proposition including their own funds and MPS solutions. The roles could be based in either Yorkshire or Sussex on a hybrid office working basis. For somebody looking to be based in their Yorkshire office, our clients are ideally seeking somebody who has had exposure of leading/managing others and this experience doesn’t necessarily need to be had within the financial planning industry.
What's Required?
Essential:
* You must have CAS status and been advising for at least 6 months to year
* Proven track record of delivering holistic financial advice
* Good technical knowledge across financial planning disciplines
* Client-focused with excellent relationship management skills
* Comfortable working within a structured desk-based advisory model

Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
Bonus Structure: Based on compliance and performance. Bonuses are paid quarterly, and your on-target earnings should be at least £70,000 per annum with the real opportunity of earning up to £85,000.
