About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wealstun, a category C prison located near Wetherby, Yorkshire. HMP Wealstun is a male prison that focuses on training and education. The pharmacy has its own dispensary and consists of a full team of around 15 staff both permanent and bank. This is a bank role with an hourly rate of £23.83. Working days Monday‑Sunday, 07:00‑19:30, with no nights.
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you’ll be doing
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning
* Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi‑disciplinary teams

Qualifications required
* Registered nurse – Adult – NMC
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
