Are you an experienced Physiotherapist with a background in adult rehabilitation? Are you motivated by community‑based working and committed to delivering high quality, person‑centred care? If so, we invite you to join our Therapy Team at Wharfedale Recovery Hub, based in Otley.
Our Recovery Hub supports a Home First approach, providing 24‑hour rehabilitation for patients who need a short‑term stay after hospital admission. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering complex rehabilitation while empowering patients to regain independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver physiotherapy interventions between 08:00 and 18:00, seven days a week, on a rotational basis.
* Assess patients and provide appropriate physiotherapy interventions, advice and guidance to support recovery and maximise independence.
* Collaborate closely with registered nursing staff, occupational therapists and therapy assistants to coordinate holistic care.
* Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized rehabilitation programmes using evidence‑based, person‑centred approaches.
* Support patients to identify, work toward and achieve their own goals, promoting self‑management and enabling independent living.
* Work in partnership with patients, families or carers, using inclusive and empowering communication to encourage involvement in decision making and care planning.
* Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning and provide education and advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
* Support the ongoing development of high‑quality rehabilitation services within the Recovery Hub.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience as a qualified Physiotherapist, preferably in adult rehabilitation.
* Commitment to community‑based, person‑centred care.
* Ability to work a 7‑day shift pattern and, on occasion, travel independently across the locality to other Recovery Hub sites.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Valid Disclosure and Barring Service check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act exemption).
