What you'll be doing:
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will be the heartbeat of the NDIA in your local community. Using your people skills, ability to multitask and move with changes rapidly to assist participants to be linked to and navigate the NDIS. You will guide participants in their options to make informed choices while gathering information for the development of their NDIS plans to help further build capacity. LACs also support NDIS participants in exploring ways to achieve their goals and help them understand how the funding in their plan works.
Our Local Area Coordinators work in our communities within the City's of Playford, Salisbury, Tea Tree Gully and Port Adelaide Enfield as well as the Barossa, Light & Lower North regions, with Feros Care offices located in Salisbury, Port Adelaide & Gawler.
Your work will include:
* Working alongside people with disabilities, their families, and carers by ensuring linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA's Grant programs.
* Develop strong positive community partnerships that support capacity building to ensure accessible and inclusive communities.
* As the LAC role involves meeting with people with disability in their home or community as well as participating in place-based community development, travel within our service regions will be required.
* This role may be required to work additional hours outside of core business hours to assist with achieving participant outcomes and/or community engagement activities.
Who we're looking for:
* Someone with great people skills, excellent written communication, and strong time management skills.
* You will have experience in meeting and exceeding KPIs and outcomes.
* Be adaptable and able to cope with an ever changing, fast paced environment where no two days are the same!
* A person-centered approach when working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds focused on empowering individuals to exercise choice and control, delivering positive outcomes, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional integrity.
* Relevant qualifications in disability, allied health, community services, or minimum 2 years' experience working with people living with disability or lived experience with disability or caring for someone with disability.

* Salary banding from $78,506 - $84,320 depending on relevant qualifications and years of relevant experience.
