Pay Rate: £89.38–£105 per day | £13.75–£16.93 per hour (PAYE – Term Time Only)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Newport. The school is known for its strong commitment to supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) including ASD, SEMH, speech and language challenges, and global developmental delay (GDD).

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students aged 11–16 with a range of SEN
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement personalised learning strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Support student progress in areas such as communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
* Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Contribute to wider school initiatives in literacy, numeracy, and behaviour development

* Graduates in Psychology, Education, or Performing Arts
* Former support workers, youth workers, or individuals from the care sector
* Candidates with experience in SEN, ALN, SEMH or behavioural support
