About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for compassionate and reliable Bank Support Workers, Senior Support Workers & Carers to join our dedicated team in a residential childrens home.
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support. This flexible role is perfect for someone who wants to work around other commitments while still contributing to a vital and rewarding service.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships with children and young people through consistent, trauma-informed care
Support children with day-to-day activities, including education, meals, hobbies, and outings
Assist with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs in line with individual care plans
Promote a safe and nurturing environment that supports healing and growth
Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
Accurately complete records and reports in accordance with organisational policies
Work collaboratively with permanent staff, social workers, and other professionals
What Were Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people in a residential, educational, or social care setting is desirable
Understanding of safeguarding, trauma, and attachment-informed care
Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and reliable willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required
A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required (we can support this process)
