Credit Controller - 6-Month Fixed Term Contract Chertsey £31,000 pro rata Are you an experienced Credit Controller who thrives on delivering results, building strong relationships and improving processes? In this role, you will play a vital part in managing customer credit, maximising cash collection, and supporting the delivery of excellent customer service across the business. You will also gain exposure to new systems and evolving processes launching in April 2026, offering valuable experience in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Resolve outstanding account queries directly with customers Proactively chase debt via telephone and email, issuing letters before action where required Reconcile customer accounts and manage unallocated payments Send statements, copy invoices and dunning communications Upload invoices to customer portals and produce consolidated invoices when needed Carry out credit checks for new and existing customers for approval Release held orders within core systems and monitor daily Process refunds and prepare legal documentation where necessary Maintain accurate Direct Debit mandates and customer records Provide team cover and support wider Credit Control activities Cash posting, month-end activities and reporting accuracy Inbox management and customer correspondence Manual credit/debit adjustments and ad-hoc Credit Control tasks Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar Credit Control role within a commercial environment Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities Confident communicator with excellent telephone and written skills High attention to detail with strong organisation and time management Ability to prioritise, multitask and work effectively under pressure Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle and ServiceNow desirable Minimum GCSE Mathematics grade 4-6 (or equivalent)
