Experienced Account Manager

Location: Field-based, covering Northern UK & Ireland

Salary: Competitive + Commission + Benefits


Company details:

We are a leading supplier within the home textiles sector, providing innovative and high-quality products to retail partners across the UK and Ireland. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of current accounts and drive new opportunities across the North of England, Scotland and Ireland.


Purpose of the Role:

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail and trade clients, delivering excellent customer service, and achieving agreed sales targets. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, the ability to build long-term partnerships, and a track record of driving results in a competitive retail environment.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage and develop relationships with key retail and trade accounts across the North UK & Ireland.
* Deliver sales growth in line with agreed KPIs and business objectives.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within the territory.
* Conduct regular customer meetings, reviews, and presentations to strengthen partnerships.
* Visits in Scotland & Ireland - 2/3 times a year
* Analyze sales and market data, providing insights and recommendations to customers.
* Lead range reviews, product presentations, and negotiations with clients.
* Work closely with internal teams (sales support, supply chain, and product development) to ensure excellent service and delivery.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy.
* Accurately manage forecasting, pricing, and reporting requirements.


Key Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar role within home textiles, homeware, or a related consumer goods sector.
* Strong track record of managing and growing retail accounts at a senior level.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive strategy.
* Experience working in a stockholding environment.
* Confident in costings, pricing, and managing margins.
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly across the North & Ireland.
