* Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
* Monday to Friday on-site
* Birmingham
* Must hold a British passport
Job Description
* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
* Produce detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
* Work on a variety of engineering projects across the marine sector and related industries.
* Present technical designs and solutions to customers.
* Liaise with external suppliers including metallurgists and R&D teams.
* Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
* Support design reviews, modifications, and continuous improvement activities.
* Maintain accurate engineering documentation in line with company standards.
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
* Strong 3D CAD modelling experience (SolidWorks preferred, others considered).
* Strong understanding of maths, physics, and engineering principles.
* Confident in customer‑facing situations and technical presentations.
* Experience liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders.
* Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
