We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with both power and hand tools. Duties
* Conduct thorough MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with legal regulations and company standards.
* Perform inspections of various vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Identify any faults or issues that may affect the vehicle's performance or safety.
* Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to assist in testing procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while performing duties.
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or testing.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the testing process.
* Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications for conducting MOT tests are preferred but not essential if the candidate demonstrates sufficient experience.
