Attendance Officer - Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School - Bexley, London Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale Attendance Officer An Outstanding Ofsted secondary school in Bexley is seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join their pastoral support team. This is an important role within the school focused on improving student attendance, supporting student wellbeing and ensuring accurate attendance systems are maintained effectively. The successful candidate will monitor daily attendance, follow up absences and work closely with students, families and staff to improve attendance and punctuality. You will analyse attendance data, identify trends and support intervention strategies to ensure students are fully engaged with school life and learning. You will also liaise with pastoral staff, safeguarding teams and external agencies where appropriate, ensuring all attendance procedures are compliant with school policies and statutory requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families are essential. The role requires excellent organisation, resilience and the ability to manage sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
