Responsibilities

* Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training and developing staff. Build a motivated, high-performing team to support store success.
* Analyse sales data and financial reports to inform quick, well-grounded decisions with the Store Manager, identifying opportunities operationally and commercially.
* Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
* Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
* Support day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
* Manage cash tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
* Participate in hiring, onboarding and training new employees.
* Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
* Support management in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.


Role Objectives And KPIs

* Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
* Drive KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
* Achieve upselling or cross-selling targets.
* Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
* Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
* Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
* Ensure employee engagement scores meet or exceed company benchmarks.
* Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.


Skills And Experience

* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail/customer-facing environment.
* Passionate about retail with a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
* Experience coaching and developing individuals.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
* Experience analysing KPI data to inform commercial decisions.
* Keen eye for detail and commerciality; experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
* Promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
