At Brent, apprenticeships are a key way we grow local talent and represent our diverse community. This Level 6 Public Health Apprenticeship, delivered with Coventry University, combines academic study with hands-on experience tackling some of the nation’s biggest health challenges, leading to a BSc (Hons) Public Health Practitioner degree.
Based in vibrant Wembley Park, home to Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena, Boxpark and LDO, this is an exciting opportunity to make a difference locally. Apprenticeships are open to all residents aged 16 and above, whether starting out or changing career.
About the programme
* Level 6 Public Health Apprenticeship with Coventry University
* Work-based training plus academic study
* Leads to BSc (Hons) Public Health Practitioner
* Includes final assessment: exam, log book and panel interview
Your role
* Work with communities, the council and partners to improve health outcomes
* Gain practical skills in health improvement, risk assessment and service delivery
* Learn from experts using the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework (2016)
* Collaborate across teams, supported by mentoring and protected study time

Requirements
* Brent resident, eligible to work in England, not in full-time education
* GCSE English and Maths Grade C/Level 4 or above
* Strong interest in health and community wellbeing
On completion
* Ability to submit a professional Public Health Practitioner portfolio
