Overview
Pay: £90-£105 per day (dependent on experience). We are working with a welcoming primary school in Middleton (M24) who are seeking an experienced and compassionate EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young child in their SEN provision. The child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and requires consistent, hands-on support to access learning and daily routines. This role is varied and will involve providing personalised 1:1 support, promoting independence, and ensuring the child feels safe, included, and able to make progress in their development. The successful candidate must also be comfortable supporting with elements of personal care, which may include assisting with toileting and changing.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Early Years with additional needs
* Assist with learning activities, ensuring they are engaging and accessible
* Support the child's social, emotional and physical development
* Promote independence and encourage positive interactions with peers
* Provide personal care support in a respectful and sensitive manner when required
Requirements
* Experience working in Early Years and supporting children with SEN
* Knowledge of supporting children with EHCPs is highly desirable
* A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
* Confidence in delivering both academic and personal care support
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred
