Your new roleAs a Claims Technician, you will be responsible for managing claims across a varied portfolio. Your day-to-day work will involve processing claims, updating market systems, and ensuring accurate technical entries and financial transactions within internal platforms. You will liaise with underwriters and clients to confirm reserve movements, handle collections, and maintain clearmunication throughout the claims process.
The role also includes monitoring outstanding items, attending team meetings to prioritise workflow, and supporting operational reporting. From time to time, you will assist with emergency settlements, produce analytical reports on claims experience, and keep detailed time records. Regularpliance training and occasional ad-hoc tasks will form part of your responsibilities.
What you’ll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in claims processing within the insurance market, ideally with exposure to Lloyd’s orpany market practices. Strong technical knowledge of claims systems and processes is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
You should be confidentmunicating with underwriters, clients, and internal teams, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in both direct and reinsurance claims will be highly advantageous.
