On behalf of a beautiful Elderly Care Home in the Twyford area, Pure Care are now seeking a Maintenance Manager to head up their Maintenance team on a full time, permanent contract. Maintenance Manager (Vacancy Reference PK62698) * Full time, permanent role * Monday to Friday (Flexibility with shift times) * £17.50 per hour * Support of a Maintenance Assistant As the full-time Maintenance Manager you will take responsibility for resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, ensuring that the care home is a clean and well-maintained environment. Key duties will include PPM and reactive work, ranging from fire alarm tests through to basic plumbing and decorating duties. You will have the support of a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to assist, and be responsible for leading and directing them in their work. As Maintenance Manager you must have good knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations, and have the ability to assess and manage risk. Importantly, you must also have the ability to work on your own initiative and address potential issues as they may arise before they affect the daily running of the Care Home. You will working in an attractive 50 bedded Care Home which specialises in elderly care, and that has a great reputation in the local area. The Care Home was renovated only a few years ago, and is located just a short distance from Twyford train station, with great public transport links and free parking at the site. You will be working for an established family-owned care company with a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. Care Home Maintenance Manager responsibilities * Identify and carry out repairs & improvements in accordance with the Care Home’s procedures and quality standards. * Ensure a safe environment is always maintained within the Home, recording and reporting any incidents and hazards/ faults that may occur * Responsible for the line management of the Maintenance Assistant * Carry out all required tests and checks for various systems of the care home on weekly, monthly and annual basis. Care Home Maintenance Manager skills & experience * Good general property maintenance knowledge and skills (e.g. Carpentry, plumbing, painting & decorating, basic electrical work) * Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Facilities Manager, Handyman or Maintenance Worker is preferred * Relevant qualifications would be beneficial but not essential (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, IOSH) For more information on this Maintenance Manager role please call Phil King on (phone number removed)
