We are looking for an experienced, commercially aware and motivated Head of Operations to lead health and social care services across East Anglia.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for operational delivery, CQC compliance, service quality and business growth. You will support Managers to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care, while actively driving new service opportunities, increasing care hours and supporting sustainable branch development.
You will work closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to ensure services are well-led, compliant with CQC regulations and focused on delivering excellent outcomes for the people we support.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Head of Operations, you will:
* Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of multiple services across East Anglia.
* Take a lead role in driving branch growth, increasing care hours and developing new service opportunities.
* Identify opportunities for business development, service expansion and improved branch performance.
* Work with Managers to create and deliver local growth plans.
* Provide direct line management, supervision and support to Managers.
* Ensure services remain compliant with CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and internal quality requirements.
* Support services with CQC inspections, action plans and continuous improvement.
* Oversee quality assurance, audits, governance, safeguarding, risk management and incident reporting.
* Monitor branch budgets, KPIs and performance metrics.
* Use data and operational insight to improve performance, identify risks and support growth.
* Lead on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, staff development and training compliance.
* Build strong relationships with CQC, commissioners, professionals, stakeholders and referral partners.
* Promote a positive culture of accountability, learning, care quality, growth and person-centred support.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Senior management experience within health and social care.
* Experience managing multiple services and supporting Managers.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
* A proven ability to drive service growth, increase care hours and improve operational performance.
* Experience building relationships with commissioners professionals and referral partners.
* Experience leading governance, quality assurance and service improvement.
* Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
* The ability to drive performance, accountability and positive culture change.
* Experience supporting services through CQC inspections.
* A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred care.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to balance quality, compliance and sustainable growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Willingness to travel across East Anglia.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
