Job Title: Construction Manager
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction portion of utility-scale solar projects. This role involves establishing work schedules, managing subcontractors, assigning crews and trades, ensuring availability of tools and materials, reviewing designs with engineering, and ensuring the project is built according to plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Align individual and team objectives with department and company goals.
* Support employee development and growth.
* Provide regular feedback on performance and goal progress.
* Set up initial layout and site infrastructure, including water, power, internet, and facilities.
* Schedule and ensure proper staffing for daily construction activities with employees and subcontractors.
* Support project managers for management coverage.
* Create and implement daily work plans.
* Coordinate construction disciplines to minimize schedule delays.
* Identify potential employee relations issues.
* Anticipate schedule, workflow, and staffing issues.
* Shut down construction sites when conditions require, such as weather or safety concerns.
* Conduct site investigations for potential construction sites.
* Evaluate and select subcontractors for projects.
* Monitor construction sites daily to oversee ongoing work.
* Act as the primary on-site leader, managing execution teams and subcontractors.
* Evaluate contractual scope and impact of client directives and schedule changes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
* Attend safety, progress, quality, and security meetings as required.
* Ensure project documentation complies with contract requirements.
* Oversee multiple job sites' production.
* Ensure safety of all employees, vendors, subcontractors, and temporary workers.
* Coordinate schedules with various departments such as construction, engineering, and purchasing.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least 10 years of direct construction management experience in utility or heavy construction projects.
* OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Experience with contract fundamentals, change orders, and scheduling concepts.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of environmental concepts like BMPs and SWPPP.
* Ability to interpret state regulations.
* Willingness to travel up to 95% as required.
* Management experience with solar projects is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
This role involves work in both office and field environments. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
