Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Site Manager Chertsey, Surrey £60,000-£70,000 Package An experienced Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Site Manager is required for a bespoke ultra high-specification residential development in Chertsey, Surrey. This is a flagship project with approximately £40m of mechanical and electrical works, requiring a strong mechanically biased professional to oversee the delivery of mechanical services on site and ensure installation quality, programme performance, and safety standards are maintained throughout the project. Project Scope The development includes several specialist packages and complex building services elements, including: Energy centre and plant infrastructure Full house M&E systems ITAV integration High-end sanitaryware supply and installation Decorative lighting packages Lift installations Role Overview You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and supervision of mechanical services installation, coordinating subcontractors and site teams while ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and to the high standards expected on a luxury residential scheme. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation works on site Manage subcontractors and direct labour across mechanical packages Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme Monitor and enforce health & safety standards on site Liaise with project management, consultants, and other trades Monitor installation quality and assist with inspections and snagging Support testing, commissioning, and system handover Maintain site records and assist with progress reporting Experience & Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Site Manager within the UK M&E sector Experience delivering high-end residential or technically complex projects Strong understanding of plant rooms, mechanical systems, and coordinated installations Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme delivery SSSTS or SMSTS preferred CSCS Card required (Gold or Black preferred) Skills Strong leadership and site coordination skills High attention to detail and installation quality Good communication and stakeholder management ability Strong understanding of construction site operations and health & safety Package £60,000-£70,000 salary, depending on experience Benefits package included Opportunity to work on a flagship luxury residential development This role offers an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased site professional to play a key role on a high-value, bespoke residential project delivering complex building services installations.
