The role:
As a Production & Technical Support Technician you will help drive our goals by:
Promotes a positive Health & Safety and zero-harm culture, operating equipment safely in line with JM EHS standards and legislation, participating in EHS initiatives, and supporting COSHH, risk assessments, and procedure updates.
Manufactures specialty chemicals with high care and attention, resolves technical and process issues to minimise rejections, meets production plans and quality specifications, and drives continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5WHY analysis.
Accurately records daily production, completes detailed handovers, communicates plant performance against KPIs, uses production data systems, and supports the monitoring, tracking, and movement of goods.
Delivers multiple daily and weekly activities within the operational area, maintains awareness of related areas, provides on-the-job training to colleagues, and carries out other reasonable duties within skills and abilities.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role :
Aged 18+, 4 GCSEs (incl. English, Maths, Science), 2 A Levels in engineering/science, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with chemical and environmental awareness.
Knowledge of operator skills, LEAN manufacturing, root cause analysis, quality systems, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
Strong Health, Safety, and environmental focus, works accurately, efficiently, meets deadlines, and committed to learning.
Positive, flexible, self-motivated team player, organised, energetic, communicates clearly, builds relationships, and influences effectively.

Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-4:30pm, with an early finish at 3:45pm on Fridays.
