We are seeking passionate and dedicated Therapeutic Education Practitioners and Teaching Assistants with a genuine commitment to supporting pupils achieve positive outcomes in their education through trauma-informed practice, multi-disciplinary provision and therapeutic principles.
You will work with primary-aged (Key Stage 2) pupils with complex needs and neurodiversity, including Autism. You will support these vulnerable young people both within the school environment, as well as supporting progress on social skills in their home, ensuring that they build confidence, self -esteem and the ability to work and learn within small groups in a classroom.

Through the nurture approach, pupils will improve their cognitive functioning and ability to learn through better emotional regulation.
Essential requirements to be successful in the role are:
* Experience of supporting neurodiverse children with SEND, including Autism (ASD / ASC) and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour patterns, especially in primary aged pupils.
* Able to act as a positive role model, providing nurturing approach, building key relationships with pupils and their families.
* Exposure to using therapeutic education principles to provide a holistic approach to learning.
* Resilient and hard worker with a never give up attitude.
* Ability to empower young people and their families to build self-confidence, develop emotional intelligence and find their interests to pursue.
* Confident in undertaking personal and intimate care on occasion as required (training to be provided).
