The Principal Environmental Health Officer role will lead and oversee a team of officers delivering outcomes for residents within Nottinghams Selective Licensing designation; one of the largest in the country.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Environmental Health degree or equivalent and EHRB or equivalent registration
* Experience in undertaking private rented sector enforcement and compliance activity, particularly in relation to HHSRS and housing / houses in multiple occupation (HMO) licensing schemes.
* Experience in undertaking housing inspections and providing support and guidance in decision making and line management experience.
* Knowledge of housing construction and defects; knowledge of relevant housing legislation and its application within the role.
* Ability to communicate effectively, to manage and lead a team, ensuring effective service delivery.
