Are you an experienced Welding Coordinator and/or NDT Inspector seeking a new job opportunity and looking to work withion a nights role ?
The welding Co ordinator will oversee welding and quality operations ensuring comliance and quality with safety regulations and quality standards.
The role requires string leadership, technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively within prodcution teams.
Duties
* Manage a team of welders providing training and support as needed
* Ensure compliance within industry regulations
* Perform front-line inspections during the fit-up stage and oversee final weld inspections.
* Police welding systems by conducting random checks on welding parameters, pre-heats, and other critical factors.
* Manage NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) requirements and perform inspections to customer specifications.
* Issue and maintain weld procedures, weld cards, and weld maps while populating document packs with welding-related information.
* Liaise with production managers, supervisors, and third-party inspectors to ensure quality standards are upheld.
What You Will Bring:
* Proven experience in welding coordination and NDT inspection within the engineering industry.
* Strong organisational skills to manage consumables, certifications, and documentation effectively.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
* Ability to work collaboratively with production staff and external inspectors.
* A proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations.
The role will be working on a permanent night shift that is Monday to Thursday, the working hours are 17.30pm - 3.30am (38 hours per week), and the role comes with an annual salary of just over £46,500 per annum (which includes a shift allowance), the role also comes with regular overtime opportunities paid at T1/3 in the week, T1/2 on a Saturday and double time on a Sunday.
