Job objectives and responsibilities
Working within Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS), we require a professional sales management role to work across 2 area's of our business: Safer Communities and OSINT Intelligence.
The role requires the candidate to demonstrate excellent client interaction skills and should also be able to demonstrate experience in client development and/or sales in a previous safeguarding or OSINT intelligence role.
Working collaboratively with the wider MIS Account team, the role will primarily drive sales in these two areas but will also need to identify wider opportunities across the MIS business and the wider Mitie Group.
The role will be responsible for building new client relationships, structuring and presenting new proposals and growing services across a wide and diverse customer base. A flexible solution sales approach is crucial in ensuring the proposals meet the client need. The role will need to be able to demonstrate excellent commercial acumen and excellent customer service and negotiation skills to ensure solutions are delivered profitably and that the customer experience is positive.
Role Deliverables;
• Building and managing a viable pipeline of opportunities
• Manage pipeline of opportunities on the company's CRM database(s)
• Collect prospect data and generate new leads
• Generate and manage visits to existing and prospective clients
• Create and issue professional client proposals
• Meet or exceed sales targets
• Achieve cross collaboration targets across the broader MIS business with particular emphasis on Security Intelligence.
• Provide regular analysis and reports on Sales & Opportunities through weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
• Develop a growth plan with the business to identify key target areas for growth.
• Initiate and manage Strategic Partnerships related to target client sector
• Identify and attend relevant exhibitions, conferences and networking events
• Develop client relationships through regular consistent interactions
Main duties
• Introduce new prospects (via telephone, email and visits) to our services and convert them to customers
• Maintain contact (via telephone, email and visits) with existing customer base, introducing them to new services while providing excellent customer support
• Ensure that customer relationships are managed such that account development objectives are achieved.
• The identification, management, and development of relationships with key stakeholder groups, to monitor levels of awareness and attitudes, and to ensure understanding and buy-in.
• Gain trust and commitment from senior leaders
• Ensure proposals align with operational margin targets and that the business grows in line with plans.
• Encourage operational teams to service excellence to ensure what is sold is delivered
• Cross team engagement. Working with Strategic Sales team to develop our customers pitches, commercial models, and delivery approaches in the pre-sales stage
• Ensure compliance with Sales processes
• Assist in the execution of email sales and marketing campaigns
• Support in identifying material for case studies, reports and statistics
• Collate, assess, and share relevant information such that market developments and opportunities are identified and realistic business & demand plans can be created.

Person Specification
• Delivered sales targets for a mid or large size business
• Proven track record of sales in security or safeguarding sector
• Experience in CRM/ Sales based systems preferrable (i.e, Salesforce)
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Able to deliver results
• Experience/comfort in speaking at industry forums and being part of industry bodies
