As the leader of a newly renovated, high-specification 3-bed home specialising in EBD, you will oversee the transition from the pre-registration phase to consistent, safe daily operations. The home is thoughtfully designed, including an activity and sensory room, a spacious ensuite sleep room, and a dedicated office for the Registered Manager. You will focus on team recruitment and development, ensuring that the environment remains welcoming and genuinely homely for the staff and children in your care. In addition, maintaining a state of readiness for inspections will be a key part of your role, ensuring high standards are upheld every day.
*Your Role*
* Be responsible for holding Ofsted registration for the home,
* Ensuring that all operations and practices are fully compliant with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, maintaining high standards of care, safety, and professional conduct in alignment with regulatory requirements.
* Fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Recruit, induct, and coach a consistent team with clear supervision, rota schedules, and continued professional development.
* Embed trauma-informed, relational practices and predictable routines.
* Take ownership of safeguarding, care planning, risk management, audits, and quality assurance (including Reg 44/45).
* Manage matching and admissions to ensure stability and positive outcomes.
* Build effective relationships with families, schools, social workers, health partners, and commissioners.

*About You*
*What you will contribute*
* *Level 5 Diploma* in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare).
* *Proven experience* holding Ofsted registration in a children's home.
* Deep knowledge of *Children's Homes Regulations 2015*, *Quality Standards* and SCCIF.
* Calm, clear leadership; strong judgement, recording and communication.
* A *business-minded* approach to safe growth, resourcing and rota planning.
* *UK driving licence* (desirable) and the right to work in the UK.
