Overview
We are actively recruiting for an experienced MIG welder required for an ongoing position in Littlehampton. This is for our well-established client who has specialised in the automotive industry supporting well-known brands internationally. It is important that all work is carried out to a high level, including neat and tidy welding throughout.
Responsibilities
MIG welder duties include:
* Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications
* Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly
* Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately
* Carry out fabrication and assembly tasks as required
* Training welding apprentices and mentoring recruits
* Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools
* Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues
Requirements
* Previous MIG welding experience essential
* High attention to detail
* Good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm
Pay
£13.00 to £16.00 per hour depending on experience
