About the Role
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our KS2, KS3, and KS4 students. Your commitment will help create a nurturing environment that promotes self-discipline and inspires learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.
* Assist the Classroom Teacher during lessons and report on pupils' progress.
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
* Help with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
* Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.
* Adapt resources to meet the needs of young people.
What We’re Looking For
* A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
* Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas like Food Hygiene, Forest School, or School Yoga.
* Experience in behavior management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
Working Conditions
This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position, term-time only, with a salary ranging from £20,422 to £23,232.69. We offer various start dates between January and March 2026.
