Medical Secretary/PA – Band 4 – 35 hours per week – FTC 12 months.
Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Medical PA to work within the Medicine Division. This post will support the Consultants and Nurses and provide a high-quality, efficient and effective administration and secretarial service.
Responsibilities
* Ensure work is completed within strict timescales and support clinical & non-clinical activities.
* Exercise judgement and initiative to resolve arising problems, including following up investigation results and ensuring timely action.
* Maintain calm under pressure, prioritise workload and handle confidential and sensitive issues professionally.
* Communicate professionally with patients, relatives, Trust staff and other departments, with a compassionate nature.
* Provide comprehensive secretarial support: typing letters and medical reports, filing, maintaining team diary, handling enquiries, arranging appointments.
* Support team members as necessary and maintain good communication channels.
