Job Description
This role is for a 12 Month Fixed term contract
Key Responsibilities!
1. We are looking for someone to actively seek and develop opportunities across all customer sectors within your assigned geographies, strictly generating revenues aligned with budget targets.
2. Collaborate closely with the Field Sales Team to support strategic accounts and ensure seamless customer experiences.
3. Identify and close new prospect opportunities through a combination of self-generated leads and marketing-provided insights.
4. Engage with customers through various channels (, email, phone calls, online meetings) to qualify leads, convert prospects, and successfully implement upselling strategies.
5. Apply LGC’s advanced sales tools and virtual capabilities to nurture prospects, close opportunities, and conduct ongoing territory planning.
6. Achieve revenue goals by working collaboratively with team members to deliver outstanding sales outcomes from both new and existing customers.
7. Partner with the marketing team to launch new products and deploy impactful campaigns.
8. Monitor and provide feedback on customer and market trends to identify competitor activities and opportunities for market growth.
9. Manage daily service cloud cases to ensure timely handling and resolution of customer inquiries.
10. Ensure that new customer and product-price requests are promptly followed up with formal quotations and within agreed timescales.
11. Participate in field events such as conferences, exhibitions, and seminars to represent LGC and expand our network.
12. Deliver pre-sales technical assistance to customers and support the quoting team when required.
13. Provide backup assistance for the Quoting Team to uphold service standards and handle incoming caseloads.
Qualifications

15. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences/Cell Biology or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a scientific background.
16. Proven track record in sales or customer service roles within the Life Sciences industry.
17. Proficient written and spoken proficiency in English is required; additional proficiency in German or other European languages is a strong advantage.
18. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace.
19. Adaptable and driven person with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive commercial setting.
20. Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
21. Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, capable of relating to all levels of the business.
22. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
23. Demonstrated skills in uncovering customer needs, persuasion, negotiation, and demand generation.
24. In-depth product knowledge, including value propositions and solution development.
25. Passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences for both internal and external clients.
26. Diligent and highly organized, with a deep knowledge of Microsoft Office.
27. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SAGE, ORACLE, and supply chain management processes is essential.
