About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role involves helping to add value through review, challenge, analysis, and financial control, while acting as a key contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.
Working within Reporting and Accounting, you will be responsible for elements of the UK statutory accounts process, external audit, month-end close activities, control compliance, and stakeholder liaison. Review of legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls, and ad hoc tasks will also be part of your responsibilities.
You will coordinate accounting processes in the Heineken European shared service centre in Krakow and partner with internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit, and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with external auditors will also be required. This role offers an exciting period of change as the finance function supports Heineken’s Global Digital Backbone project, within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Who we’re looking for
* A qualified accountant with experience in internal and external financial reporting.
* Experience within FMCG or large organizations, with knowledge of statutory accounts production.
* Experience with IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Effective communication skills.
* Team-oriented with the ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent analytical skills and an enquiring mindset.
* Motivated by process and control improvements and efficiency.
