We require an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Radiologist to join our team of 23 Substantive Consultant Radiologists. The appointee will be primarily based at either Eastbourne DGH or Conquest Hospital Hastings, although this may change dependent on service need.
Responsibilities
* Deliver general radiology services at the designated hospital sites.
* Participate in the development of radiology services, including the development of subspecialty areas of interest.
* Provide teaching and support for four radiology trainees on rotation from the HEKSS deanery.
* Engage in audit and other continuing professional developmental activities.
* Perform first‑line on‑call duties: covering 6‑8 scans weekday evenings (until 10 pm) and Saturday/Sunday evenings (until 5 pm), with overnight call outsourced to a reporting company.
* Review scans the following day to ensure quality assurance and deliver education as part of a 1‑in‑8 rota.
* Cover daytime malignant cord‑compression MRIs at weekends as part of the same 1‑in‑8 rota.
Qualifications
* High level of clinical experience and competence in general radiology.
* Full GMC registration is mandatory.
* Ability and willingness to develop subspecialty skills.
