Secondary Supply Teacher – South Tyneside
Milk Education is seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in the South Tyneside area. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment where every student feels motivated to succeed.
You will work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning across a range of subjects and year groups.
Location
South Tyneside
Hours
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
(Flexible supply work available)
Pay
£150 – £265 per day (dependent on experience)
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
3. Strong classroom management and communication skills
4. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
5. A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education
6. Ability to provide two recent references
Key Responsibilities
7. Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3–KS5 (or within your subject specialism)
8. Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment
9. Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement
10. Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
11. Maintain high standards of behaviour management
12. Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
13. Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
