Job Opportunity: Structural Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our client's expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in structural steelwork design and project management.
Responsibilities
* Design and manage structural steelwork projects, ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and software.
* Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to coordinate project information and resolve queries.
* Maintain adherence to design budgets and company QA procedures.
* Attend project meetings and report directly to the Head of Design.
* Support the training and development of graduate design engineers.
* Foster strong relationships with clients to achieve excellent feedback and satisfaction.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and principles.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural steelwork design.
* Degree in a relevant field, ideally working towards incorporated or chartered status.
* Proficient in structural steelwork member design, connection design, and familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, and Master series design software.
* Experience in designing temporary works is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
