Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

We are recruiting 4 Finance Officers on a temporary one-year basis to support the wider Finance service during a project to implement a new financial ledger system.
As a member of the Finance team, you will assist with testing the new financial system and data cleansing from the current system to prepare for migration.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable to change, working within a fast-paced project team.
Home / Hybrid Working Consideration

Job Details
As part of the Business Finance Team, the Finance Officer will:
* Support the Finance Business Partner and Principal Accountant in developing service budgets;
* Assist in preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely reconciliations, and investigating variances;
* Support the delivery of statutory financial accounts and returns.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
A formal accountancy or business management qualification at HNC/SVQ Level 3, or substantial experience in a financial/business management role.
Level 1 Disclosure Clearance
This role requires Level 1 Disclosure Clearance for access to the Public Sector Network. The council will handle the application process. If you've worked or lived outside the UK for more than 3 months in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check will be required.
