Your new role
As the Student Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Greeting and assisting students with enquiries
2. Managing late arrivals and early departures
3. Answering internal calls and directing queries
4. Providing general administrative support to the office team
5. Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
6. Issuing equipment, timetables and uniform.
This is a temporary role requiring professionalism, calm under pressure, and a genuine desire to support young people.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this position, you should have:
7. Previous reception or administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
8. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
9. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
10. Confidence using Microsoft Office and school systems
11. A proactive, approachable, and student-focused attitude
We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
