I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Wigan, for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production through effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
The Role:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults independently and as part of a team.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
* Assist with breakdowns as required.
* Work efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety standards.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
What My Client is Looking For:
* Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 through a time-served Electrical Apprenticeship.
* At least four years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
* Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks and interpret engineering drawings.
* Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens).
* Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Experience using Microsoft Office and maintenance software (SAP).
* Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
