A highly respected, family‑run construction and development contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the housebuilding phase of a flagship residential developmen t in Pembrokeshire.
This is a rare opportunity to join a business with a strong local reputation, a multi‑year secured pipeline, and a commitment to staff development across all levels.
You will be responsible for the successful day‑to‑day management of the housebuilding delivery, ensuring outstanding standards of quality, safety, programme and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the housebuilding phase and drive construction progress
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and directly employed labour
* Prepare short‑term look‑ahead programmes aligned to the master programme
* Oversee digital site records: QA, daily diaries, H&S inspections and documentation
* Manage quality inspections, snagging and client sign‑off
* Support design queries, buildability reviews and technical coordination
* Ensure strict adherence to company health & safety procedures
* Assist with procurement schedules and NEC3 reporting
* Liaise with Building Control, Structural Warranty providers, Clerk of Works and client representatives
* Lead by example, maintaining high standards of professionalism on site
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Ability to read and understand construction drawings
* Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills
* Confidence using tablets/iPads and digital QA systems
* Knowledge of modern building regulations and compliance requirements
* Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
* Strong communication and problem‑solving ability
* Good awareness of H&S legislation and site best practice
* SMSTS
* CSCS (Manager/Advanced)
* First Aid at Work
* Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor (advantageous)
* Fire Marshal (advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence
