Are you looking for an interesting and varied role that will impact positively on our residents and beautiful communities of Torridge? We currently have a vacancy within our Environmental Protection and Community Safety team as an Environmental Protection Officer based at our offices in Bideford.
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a range of specialist duties across the district, including noise control, drinking water sampling, public health protection, pollution issues and more. The post holder will act as a specialist in key areas of the Department’s function, providing specialist and technical advice to our customers. This role will involve investigating, inspecting and making appropriate recommendations where necessary in regard to the regulatory duties of the Environmental Protection role.
This is an exciting role for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced officer. You will be a key part of the Public Health and Community Safety service, helping to influence the improvement of health, wellbeing & the local environment in the Torridge District.
The post holder must be educated to Degree level in Environmental Health/Environmental Science and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar role. Applicants with other degree qualifications may be considered, subject to length and breadth or practical experience.
