About the Role
Intus is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Operations Supervisor to lead our vegetation management field team. This hands-on, bilingual (Spanish-English) leader will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of daily operations. The role is crucial to ensuring project success through effective team supervision, meticulous equipment oversight, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily site operations and delegate tasks to crew members
* Maintain schedules and ensure client expectations are met
* Identify and report client concerns to the Operations Manager
* Assist in resolving customer service issues when needed
* Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies
* Monitor site quality daily and address deficiencies with crews
* Coordinate service execution with the Operations Manager
* Train and develop crew members alongside the Crew Leader
* Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational
* Prepare herbicide mixtures and supervise application (optional)
* Complete and submit daily reports: Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), safety permits, field logs
* Participate in safety training: First Aid, CPR, OSHA 10, bloodborne pathogen awareness
* Accurately log crew hours and equipment usage/maintenance
* Attend branch meetings as directed
* Operate company vehicles at job sites
Requirements
* Bilingual (Spanish-English)
* Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the field or operations
* Familiarity with small machinery: riding mowers, weed whackers, ATVs, UTVs
* Qualified Applicator License for herbicides
* JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) certificate
* Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic repairs
* Strong commitment to safety protocols
* Ability to plan, organize, and execute field operations
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
* Organized and detail-oriented
* Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
* Lift and carry up to 40 lbs (mulch, herbicide, fuel)
* Load/unload equipment onto trailers
* Bend, twist, walk, stand, and sit for up to 10 hours/day
* Work in extreme weather conditions
* Ability to direct crews at client sites
Work Schedule
* Spring/Fall: Monday to Friday, 6 am – 2:30 pm ( 30 min unpaid lunch)
* Summer: Monday to Friday, 5 am - 1:30 pm ( 30 min unpaid lunch)
* Evening and weekend work may be periodically required as business operations and job duties demand
