Murphy is recruiting for Subcontract Buyer to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework.
A day in the life of a Murphy Subcontract Buyer
* Provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of sub‑contractors and materials.
* Work as part of a dedicated procurement team for the project.
* Provide best value for project procurement solutions for the project.
* Procurement of materials and subcontracts covering; production and management of the procurement schedule, development of invitation to tender documents in conjunction with project teams. Carry out tender analysis and award recommendations.
* Advise on the project’s supply chain management activities, including structuring the supply chain and carrying out performance and relationship management to drive improved performance/cost benefits.
* Support activities that generate and encourage efficient, productive and continuously improving supply chain performance.
* Take part in group procurement functional goals and objectives within the region.
* Continuously seek out and assess new supply chain members to meet project demand.
* Develop and forge closer relationships with the supply chain to encourage a culture of inclusive interaction and learning and an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.
