Job Opportunity: Senior Contracts Administrator
An International Mining company is recruiting for a Senior Contracts Administrator to work on a large UK-based Mining project. This is a long-term contract opportunity located in Yorkshire.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing assistance and ownership of Contract Administration/Management for local and international contracts, including those with engineering, environmental, and biodiversity consultants.
2. Managing contract scope, tender packages, evaluation processes, compliance, negotiations, awarding, and administration within budgets and forecasts.
3. Verifying progress claims and administering payments in collaboration with contract owners.
4. Ensuring contracts conform to legislative requirements and meet company objectives.
Candidate Profile:
* At least 5 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator or Contracts Engineer in construction, mining, infrastructure, or oil & gas industries.
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Contract Law, or Legal fields.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general IT systems; familiarity with SAP is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of UK VAT, Withholding Tax, and accounting procedures is beneficial.
* Experience managing external stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
* Understanding of remote site contractual issues and project development phases is preferred.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and support project and contract strategies to optimize resources and budgets.
Additional Requirements:
* Willingness to work onsite in Yorkshire 5 days a week.
* UK working rights are mandatory.
