Role Type: Permanent
Scope of the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Test Engineer to join the Test & Qualification team in Farnborough, with the potential for a significant increase in responsibility over the next 2-3 years.
This team performs a critical role within the Business Unit, supporting, through standard and often innovative physical testing, the development of technologies at low technology readiness levels (TRL), exploring the limits of product capability and beyond to really understand our designs and the verification of product performance against our customer’s requirements. Additionally, the team is also called upon to provide a testing capability to other functions within the business.
The products tested are typically highly engineered sensors and associated signal transmitting cables that measure the performance characteristics of and survive the extreme environment of gas turbine engines used in various applications, chiefly aeronautics.
There has been continued and significant investment in the environmental test equipment and capabilities over recent years, providing the Test Engineer with the ability to conduct testing in accordance with the industry requirements of RTCA DO-160 and MIL-810 standards on-site.
