We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Application Technician to join us at our facility in Wellingborough to support teaching, research, and practical learning activities. You will play a key role in preparing and delivering hands-on demonstrations, assisting students, customers and maintaining technical equipment in a safe and effective learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations to support lectures, workshops, and lab sessions
2. Set up, test, and maintain laboratory or workshop equipment
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
4. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting during practical sessions
5. Support the development of teaching materials and demonstration resources
6. Maintain inventory and order supplies as required
Key requirements:
7. Practical experience working with technical equipment or within laboratory environments, combined with a strong hands-on and detail-oriented approach
8. Previous body shop experience would be advantageous
9. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent organizational abilities and a proactive, adaptable mindset
10. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences, supported by strong interpersonal skills
11. Experience supporting teaching, learning, or training activities is desirable
