Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher (also known as a Cover Supervisor) to join a thriving secondary school in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience with pupils aged 11–16.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting students in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow provided lesson plans
* Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
* Ensure student behaviour aligns with school policies
* Provide guidance and support to students during lessons
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents when required

Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Two recent professional references
* Right to work in the UK
* Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willing to register)
* Up-to-date safeguarding training (free training provided by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
