Control and Instrumentation Engineer (Mobile Water Solutions) – Stoke-On-Trent, England, United Kingdom
NSI Mobile Water Solutions, part of Nijhuis Saur Industries (Saur Group), is a leading provider of temporary water and wastewater treatment services. The role reports to the Global Technical Director and is home-based with occasional international travel.

Job Responsibilities
* Control Systems Engineering: Develop new PLC programs and optimize existing ones; design, specify, and implement control systems in coordination with engineering teams; collaborate with Process Engineers to create functional descriptions; monitor process parameters and generate performance reports; ensure equipment operation aligns with client requirements; provide remote monitoring, diagnostics, and predictive analytics.
* Technical Support: Deliver technical support to field service operations and commercial teams; assist with troubleshooting during commissioning and maintenance; prepare commissioning documentation and technical SOPs; provide technical guidance and assist with equipment selection; participate in product development initiatives.
* Compliance & HSE: Strictly follow Health, Safety, and Environmental policies; contribute to continuous improvement of safe working practices; oversee execution of special projects including development of new assets and regeneration facilities.
* Safety: Ensure adherence to QHSE policies, promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, report incidents and assist in investigations; oversee special projects including new assets and regeneration facilities.
* Corporate Social Responsibility: Follow Net Zero commitment; engage in socially responsible activities; maintain high standards of social and environmental performance with transparency; consider social and environmental impact in daily decisions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Control Engineering or similar technical discipline.
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the water industry.
* Proficiency with Siemens PLC programming.
* Strong time management, organizational, and IT skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work independently and in a team; full UK driving license.
