Senior Consultant : International Development : Oxford or Bristol : GBP45,000 to GBP52,500 + Benefits
A UK:based Environmental and Data Consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its expanding International Development team in either Oxford or Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental or climate data consultant to contribute to global capacity building, policy development, and international emissions projects.
Essential Criteria:

Proven experience working in consultancy, international development, or government:backed environmental programmes.
*
Strong technical understanding of GHG emissions, climate policy, and international environmental frameworks.
*
Excellent project management and coordination skills.
*
Ability to write and present high:quality technical outputs to stakeholders and clients.
*
Degree (BSc/MSc) in Environmental Science, Climate Policy, Engineering, or a related field.
Desirable Experience:
*
Experience delivering international development or donor:funded projects (e.g., UN, World Bank, bilateral agencies).
*
Familiarity with MRV systems, national reporting (BURs, NCs), or GHG inventory processes.
*
Track record of delivering workshops, training, or stakeholder engagement in international settings.
*
Background in data handling, emissions modelling, or inventory tools.
The Role:
Youll work on a wide range of international climate change projects, supporting national governments, agencies, and institutions to develop emissions inventories, climate reporting systems, and build long:term technical capacity. This role involves a mix of technical work, project delivery, and client engagement, often in collaboration with international partners.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering and managing international GHG and climate data projects.

Supporting proposal development and winning work.
*
Conducting desk:based research, data analysis, and emissions reporting.
*
Leading technical workshops, training, and knowledge transfer activities overseas.
*
Coordinating teams and providing mentorship to junior consultants.
This is a full:time position based in either Oxford or Bristol, offering hybrid flexibility (2:3 days in:office). The role includes a competitive salary (GBP45,000 to GBP52,500), 8 employer pension contribution, structured development, and opportunities for international travel and professional growth.
